The role
Bitwarden, an open-source password manager, is hiring a Senior Front End Software Engineer for the team that owns autofill and form detection in its browser extension. The team is fully remote and the role requires being based in North America. No visa sponsorship is offered.
What you will do
- Become the expert on autofill and form change detection in the browser extension.
- Develop and maintain a full suite of browser UI automation tests.
- Keep improving autofill and form detection as new web UI patterns appear.
- Take part in code reviews and share technical knowledge.
- Occasionally contribute bug fixes submitted by the user community.
What they ask for
- Deep understanding of browser UI behavior, including DOM manipulation and content scripts.
- Proficiency in vanilla JavaScript and a modern framework, Angular preferred, or React or Vue.
- Understanding of browser extension development.
- Experience documenting complex technical solutions for other engineers.
- Proficiency with source control such as Git.
- Based in North America; no visa sponsorship.
